Last night we both slept strangely a combination of looking for insects in our posh Kingsized bed. I was looking forwards to breakfast and feeling a little worse for wear after a couple of beers. Unfortunately the phone and therefore alarm had died and we had 10mins to get ready…. So much for breakfast. We rushed to get dressed, which was hastened when reception told us the driver was here early – eek.
We ran upstairs and started grabbing as much breakfast as we could, waffles toast etc thankfully the smiling hotel staff kindly bought us plastic box to put breakfast in and we were on our way munching fine breads, honey and pineapple. We received some lovely and slightly naughty smiles from the staff after making our rushed appearance. Wonder what they thought the honeymooners had been up to.
We were soon on the boat, and making our way across the sea to one of four snorkling points. We were so happy on route talking about getting married, laughing and smiling at the good news. Sarah kept checking her ring like she cold not quite believe it, it still hadnt sunk in but the excitement and euphoria was unbelievable.
The first dive site was teaming with fish, our snorkles and mask fitted perfectly and were great fun to use. Loads of different coloured fish, swimming so close and brushing by us. We checked each others diving with the ‘ok’ sign and then continued to look at the ring, at one point I was gutted because I thought the stone had come out but it was just the cheap materials of the substitute ring.
The next stop was a tropical island paradise with white sands and lagoon blue sea. We sat in the water and played around feeling very loved up discussing how we thought people might react to our news. Then it was back to the fishies for the 3rd and even more than last time, some long ones with teeth and some beautiful colours littered the ocean. The final stop was again a tropical paradise and we enjoyed ice cream (the lovely cornetto black forest).
After the snorkling we headed home and told the family and ten friends about our engagement. Finsihing the day by watching, big fish, which wasn’t what we thought. Falling asleep early and deeply, very much looking forwards to a lie in.
